Dele Ibitoye is an engineer by training & a farmer by occupation. He is a cash/tree crops advocate, who is championing the rebirth of tree crops as a means of retirement pension plan otherwise known as farm pension plan & and to also fight climate change by reafforestation.
He started his full-time farming career about 7 years ago after inheriting acres of cocoa farm from his grandfather, which he had assisted him in planting some 40 years earlier.
He has farmed for over 40 years starting from his days as a kid with his grandfather.
An all round farmer whose farming experience covers animal husbandry, arable crops & lately focusing on cash/tree crops. His engineering background has also made it possible for Ibitoye to introduce smart farming tools to Nigeria. Some of these farm tools are imported, while others are personally & locally fabricated, hoping modern farmers achieve more from their efforts.
His agro company is also currently bringing out IT solutions to further deepen our agricultural revolution, acceptability & penetration.
The IT solutions are :
Tree crop farming app : This app will make it possible for interested Nigerians to farm tree crops (anywhere in the world) & monitor their investment on their smart phone.
Farm labour app :
Farm labour is a major challenge for (educated) farmers in the SW.
Our boys are not ready to work on the farm anymore.
98% of our farm labour are actually imported from Togo, Rep. of Benin, Benue, Plateau, Taraba etc.

We want to change all these & profile students of agriculture in our institutions as ready farm labour/staff.
For those who will take part & register, this will give them the prerequisite exposure & experience b4 they graduate & hence will become better employable.
