The Oyo state government said its investment summit in agriculture is expected to bridge the gap between farmers, agricultural producers, agricultural sectors, research institutes, government, agricultural banks and private companies.
Scheduled on Thursday and Friday on October 11 and 12, 2018 at the summit theme: “Transformation of agriculture in the Oyo and agro-industrial sector: private sector participation”.
The venue for the Agriculture Summit, which has more than 10 speakers / panelists, 35 participants, 300 delegates and more than 2000 visitors, is the Conference Center, International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (ITA), Oyo Road, Ibadan.
Prince Oyewole Oyeumi, State Commissioner for Agriculture, Natural Resources and Rural Development, said that the State Agriculture Summit had become mandatory for bridging the gap between farmers – Agrik. Producers, agro-union branches, research institutes, state and agricultural banks, and private companies.
He explained that the Oyo Agricultural Agriculture Summit (OYSAIS) is a collaboration between the Oyo State Government and the International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (ITAS).
Oyewumi said that the Oyo Agriculture Summit (OYSAIS) aims to provoke the industrial age of the Oyo agribusiness and agro-union business, explaining that the summit will complement the efforts of the state government in its Agric Oyo program, agricultural land policy and other agricultural programs to position the state as the country's food basket.
