Kebbi State Government deployed aerosol sprays of rice farms seized by grasshoppers and other pests in Amburs, Byrnin Kebbi and other affected areas of local government.
When inspecting affected farms on Sunday, Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu assured farmers in the state of the safety of their rice and other crops.

The governor said he sent immediate pest control measures before they caused additional damage to rice farms in the affected communities.
He said the federal government will intervene to help the state maintain its capacity to produce rice and other crops.
