The Nigerian Veterinary Medical Association (NVMA) has partnered with Vetsark Limited, a veterinary technology firm, to help reduce the losses livestock farmers in the country and in the continent suffer yearly to animal disease outbreak.
Blessing Mene, Chief Executive Officer of Vetsark while speaking during the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in Lagos said Vetsark Limited recognizes that animal health is closely linked with human health.

He said that if the animals are not healthy, it will have an effect on humans.

Mene stated that the Livestock Production contributes to one-third of Nigeria’s Agricultural Gross Domestic Product (GDP) and over $3 billion is lost every year in Africa to disease incidences according to the World Organisation for Animal health.
“In light of this, Vetsark Limited deems it a major priority to support the veterinarians in the country and continent by providing the tools and digital infrastructure they need to excel in their practice.
