Ministry of Agriculture plans to sow 154,100 hectares of winter cereal crops in 2018, including 140,400 hectares of wheat and 13,700 hectares of barley.
Autunm sowing campaign covered 83,100 hectares or 53.9% of the campaign so far this year.
At the same time, winter wheat was sown on 75,700 hectares of lands, winter barley – 7,400 hectares, the statement said.
Winter cereal crops were sown on 7,400 hectares of Issyk-Kul region, 2,500 hectares in the Batken region, 3,000 hectares in the Talas region, 58,600 hectares in Chuy, 4,700 hectares – Jalal-Abad region, and 6,800 hectares – Osh region.
