Abubakar Atiku Bagudu
The government of Kebbi appealed to the European Union (EU) and Oxfam to help subsidize agricultural production in the state in order to make products competitive in the world.
Governor Atiku Abubakar Bagudu did it on the weekend when he received delegates from the EU and Oxfam at the Government House in Birnin Kebbi, adding that the request for these two organizations was to encourage people from Nigeria and African countries to leave Europe without a choice not by necessity. He reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to supporting the programs and activities of the EU and Oxfam to achieve the desired results.
The Governor also expressed satisfaction with the intervention programs of the EU and Oxfam in the three local government departments of the state, which are the local governments of Birnin Kebbi, Jag and Danko / Vasagu. Bagoodu acknowledged that funding by institutions for the eradication of poverty and agricultural production has brought enormous benefits to the state in extending the economic rights of people.
Earlier, the leader of the EU delegation, Mr. Tomitio Omol, praised the leadership of Baghoda in his leadership style, saying that the administration is making efforts to put the state on the path of progress. He explained that the intervention program will address food security and poverty issues in the three local governments of Bírnina Kebbi, Jag and Danko / Vasagu, expressing satisfaction with the positive consequences recorded so far.
