Farmers in the village of Sambalisa Birnin Kudu Local government in Jigawa says they urgently need roads in the area for easy transportation of agricultural products.
Speaking on behalf of the community in an interview with the Nigeria News Agency (NAN), the chairman of the Development Association of Sambalis Malam Abdullahi Sabo appealed to Governor Muhammad Badar to help them.
Sabo said that people are engaged in agricultural activities and that it is difficult for them to transport their products to markets in urban centers.
According to him, the lack of social amenities, especially roads, prompted some community members to consider switching to other villages.
“We urge the governor to build a road to our community to prevent our people from migrating,” he said.
He said that the construction of the road will contribute to the free movement of people and the revitalization of social and economic activities.
