V. Skvortsov noted that “at the moment in Russia a very high-tech dairy industry is being built, which is still in the investment phase”.
“We are building a lot of farms, a lot of processing enterprises. But at the same time, unfortunately, this is the only industry that has not reached the established indicators within the framework of the food security doctrine”, he said.
In accordance with the doctrine of food security, the share of domestic milk on the market should be at least 90%. Last year this figure was at the level of 84.1%.
