Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Audu Ogbe, said the federal government will ensure that women improve agricultural resources.
Ogbeh said this on Thursday in Abuja when launching the National Action Plan on Gender Issues in Agriculture in Nigeria (NGAP) to mark International Children's Day.
The Minister was represented by Permanent Secretary Muazu Abulkadir, where he also praised women for being good managers.
“This should create the ability of women farmers to transfer from the defendant to medium and large-scale agriculture,” he said.
“It is well known that women are good managers, and their commitment to modernizing the family is noticed.
“Women contribute 65% of what we eat. We will provide them with access to land, improve seeds, fertilizers and loans. ”
