ARMTI trains 200 value chain developers

The Institute of Agriculture and Agriculture (ARMTI), the state of Ilorin, the state of Kwara, has trained more than 200 agricultural officials to add value to agricultural products in the six geopolitical zones of the country.

The Acting Executive Director of the Institute, Dr. Olufemi Oladunni, said that this program contributed to enhancing the federal government's efforts to ensure food security, employment and income generation, as well as the general development of the sector and diversification of the Nigerian economy.

Oladunni spoke in Ilorin at the opening of the national training for agricultural value chain facilitators and the supply chain management seminar.

According to the head of ARMTI, “having identified products in which each zone has comparative advantages, ARMTI continues to train farmers, facilitators, administrators and other participants in various value chains of agricultural products on how to develop value chains.”
